I’ve been sewing demonstration BAB garments from my sewing patterns since 2016, because I needed them to setup photoshoots with the bears/animals. But now I’m actually selling them!!
From December 2023 forward, you can expect to find in my Etsy shop new and exclusive, one-of-a-kind, handmade Build-a-Bear garments inspired by the work of living artists, and handmade by me (Nina Caporale).
Why should these special artist-inspired looks be on Etsy and not on this website? Because that’s where I’ve got international shipping. Everything on this website is limited to domestic shipping. Be sure to take a look around, of course. There are exclusive listings on this website, too!
So what are you waiting for?

The hashtag #MeMade references any clothing and/or accessories made by the wearer, often sewn by hand or on a machine. This hashtag is part of an ongoing campaign against #FastFashion.
My BAB Sewing Patterns are designed for use by makers of handmade bear clothes who want to sell them in-person and online — because name-brand BAB clothes are just fast fashion for toys. In the spirit of ending the harmful social and environmental consequences of our present global fashion industry, our toys’ clothes should also be #SlowFashion, #MeMade, and sustainable. (The toys, too, preferably.)
In my photos of bear clothes, you’ll find many instances of upcycled and repurposed textiles sourced from my own closet, my fabric stash, and second-hand sources (even local roadways).
