Can I get a PDF instead?

Please do not request PDF versions of sewing patterns that are currently listed in the shop as being printed on paper. These are only available for purchase as paper copies at this time, for a variety of reasons. This policy is not open to negotiation.

Can I get a Refund?

Once products have been shipped, sales are final. No refunds will be provided on any order that has already been shipped. So please notify Nina promptly if you hope to cancel your order for a full refund prior to shipment.

But It’s just a piece of paper, right?

Actually, each sewing pattern purchase implicitly includes a license to execute the instructions represented by that pattern in perpetuity. So you’re buying both the pattern and the license to then go on to sell whatever you make using my sewing pattern. Under intellectual property regulations in the United States, non-functional objects that are made by sewing (which includes toys and toy clothing) are eligible for greater protections than functional objects that are sewn (as in clothing that fits people, handbags, tea towels, tea cozies, etcetera). While you could destroy the paper pattern, send it back to me, or give it away to a friend, you cannot so easily dissolve the contractual agreement between you and I that extends to you a license to utilize my sewing pattern(s) for profit. Once I have shipped a pattern to you, the presumption is that you’ve had opportunity for physical, visible access to my intellectual property, and once it’s been seen it’s impossible for you to un-see it (also impossible to convince me you’ve never seen it). Therefore, our contract stands.

What if my Shipment is lost or damaged?

Delivery tracking is included with every domestic purchase at this time, and charges intended to cover this expense are added to your subtotal at checkout. Replacements on paper patterns can be shipped a second time in the event of lost or damaged parcels — at no additional charge. Please be aware that tracking information may be used to confirm any claims regarding lost or damaged shipments.

How long should I expect to wait?

Purchases are usually processed and shipped within 1 to 4 days, including weekends, unless otherwise noted in the product description. Please allow 8 to 10 business days to receive each shipment, however, unless you selected expedited shipping at checkout. Tracking information will be provided once your order has been fulfilled (meaning sent) for your convenience. Total turn-around time on bespoke masks, however, is entirely TBD and case-by-case; it’s not unreasonable to estimate a minimum of 1-month, depending on a wide range of factors and circumstances that will be unique to each instance.

When you make a purchase from us on this website, we use Squarespace Payments as our payment solution. Squarespace Payments is a fully integrated, native payment solution provided to us by our online store service provider Squarespace. Squarespace Payments makes use of the following third party service providers which will also receive your personal information and process it in accordance with their privacy policies:

ORDER & ACCOUNT EMAILS

We may email you with messages about your order or account activity. For example, we may email you to tell you that:

It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages.

We share your contact information with Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so they can send these emails to you on our behalf.
